Set Up for C4's Chime-Based Tutorials

n order to use Chime you must first have specific software installed on your computer. These applications can be downloaded for free by clicking on the buttons below. If you already have Netscape Navigator 3.01 (or later) and the Chime 1.0 (or later) plug-in, you can return to the title page.

How to obtain software for using Chime.

• Using Chime in your web browser requires that you have two pieces of software installed on your computer. You must have a copy of Netscape Navigator 3.01 or later, and the Chime plug-in, version 1.0 or later. Our recommendation is to use Netscape 4 with Windows 95, and Netscape 3.04 with Macintosh and Windows 3.1. Microsoft Internet Explorer is not compatible with Chime 1.0. Versions of Netscape Navigator older than 3.01 are also incompatible.
  

• After downloading the Chime software, run the Chime installer (Windows) or put the plug-in into the Plug-ins folder which is in the same folder that contains Netscape Navigator (Mac). If Netscape is open when you place Chime in the Plug-ins folder you must quit and restart Netscape to enable Chime to function.
